Upgraded video analytics in the new version 3.4 of Eocortex

Search for objects in video archive

Search for objects is the evolution of the interactive search module. Its functionality has become much wider: now users can not only find objects by their distinctive characteristics, but also pre-classify them according to the following types:

–   persons;

–   vehicles (passenger cars, trucks, two-wheelers);

–   other objects to look for (weapons, bags, luggage, animals).

Investigate incidents, find forgotten items, resolve disputes with the help of a quick and accurate search for information in the Eocortex video archive.

For the users of video systems based on Eocortex ST and above, the update of the module is available free of charge.

Recognition of masked faces

Now, the Face Recognition Complete module identifies faces covered with medical masks more accurately. Its operation has been optimized, and the capability to set such scenarios as sending a notification, placing a mark in the event log, etc. for the system’s actions when people with or without a mask are detected has been added. By default, this option is disabled; it can be activated it in the module’s settings.

Recognition of faces turned away from the camera

Recognition of faces turned away from the camera is another new option that has become available after the optimization of the Face Recognition Complete module. Activate it in the module settings to identify people who are seen sideways in the field of view of the cameras. 

Note that the accuracy of recognizing “open” faces remains higher than the accuracy of recognizing faces turned away from a CCTV camera.
